Meet Our Executive Director, Erika Harrell

September 16, 2026

Erika Harrell was 19 when she began working with young people in juvenile detention centers. Today, as Executive Director of ElectED DC, Erika brings that same perspective to her leadership. She thinks deeply about what young people need to thrive, not based on the school experience adults remember, but on the world today’s children are actually inheriting.
