PAID WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY
Are you a Ward 7 & 8 resident with a story about living East of the River?
ElectED DC is proud to announce that on the evening of Tuesday, November 29, 2022, we will host a two-hour, paid Op-ED Intensive Workshop for Ward 7 & 8 residents. Grantees will walk away from the workshop with the following skills and resources:
- Learn how to build an 800-word persuasive written piece that centers on the experiences of living in wards 7 & 8.
- Learn how to create an effective call to action, followed by an active workshop wherein attendees will complete a working draft.
- Receive publishing support via earned media, blog posts on ElectED’s website, as well as social media, following the workshop.
- $100 gift card

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, November 16, 2022. We are looking for more voices to add to the narrative of who we are, what we want, and what we deserve, East of the River. It’s past time to build power to empower our communities.
